I made these mobiles for friends who recently had babies, really pleased with the results… I do take commissions…
Spent the evening sticking my head in a bowl of water, these are the results, plus a couple of natural objects floating about… progressing my ideas feels good, still not exactly sure where its going to go but i like the results so far.
There seems to be something overtly sexual about dipping my nose and lips into the surface of the water, some of the images seemed to me a little crude which was unintentional so they are not included in this edit. I do however want a sexual element to this work as i think there is something rather beautiful and primal about water on skin (not sure thats the word i’m looking for) so I need to work on how to project this to the viewer.
Decided to start work again on an idea I had and started shooting quite a while ago now to do with water tension. Took a few test photos yesterday to explore some angles and how the light and refraction comes into play. Need some naked bodies and my friends pool to continue forward however…
Last week went on a little excursion to Ambergate woods and a derelict industrial estate, i became fascinated by the water that had pooled on the concrete, the vivid colors and reflections of the space. Here are some of the edited images…
